IFOCE
George and Richard Shea created the International Federation of Competitive Eating, an organization that develops, produces and publicizes high-profile eating contests throughout the world, including the Nathan's Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest in New York City. As the governing body for the sport, the IFOCE sets standards and regulations, maintains records and acts as a central resource for media, athletes and producers. IFOCE events provide lighthearted audience entertainment while also generating significant media exposure - our events produced well more than a billion consumer impressions in 2006.
